The Reel Musconetcong

A Junior Ranger Angler Program
Funded by the National Park Foundation

Junior Ranger Angler Logo.png

The Musconetcong National Wild & Scenic River is managed by the National Park Service as a Partnership River, with the MWA serving as the cooperating partner. Trout fishing is the most significant Outstandingly Remarkable Value of the River, and the River's only Scenic and Recreational section begins in Allamuchy Mountain state Park and flows 4 miles to Hackettstown.

MWA, and partners, plan to work together to develop an equitable and inclusive program that allows a diverse population of children and their families access the River through provided access to fishing equipment and licensing.

Check back to updates on free fishing day programs and educational workshops for the whole family.
